If you want to add an animal your going to need to fill out a form to discuss the animals. For the description page please feel free to include a picture. Also, use seperate threads so we can use a poll to vote on animal.

Code:

[b]Name: [/b]
[b]Latin Name: [/b]
[b]Description: [/b]
[b]other: [/b]

Thanks.
Also, I think four races should be the maximum, the reason is basically that races just have a lot more description in them and are easy for a new person to play and understand.
And no copying off movies, if you want to copy off a book please give them a diffrent name and change them slightly.

You know, I think this is kinda silly. We shouldn't need this, People should be able to just make whatever they want, ya know...That's WHY I put up the list of mythical races so people could use them as reference for their own.

Well, I'm not sure what a bestiary is-- but regardless, I don't think this is necessary.

A brief list as to what may be found there sounds cool, but approval for a beast or race is too restricting.

Let them have whatever..if its lame no one will pay attention to it anyway lol! and if its overpowered it will get put in line by a mod.

Things shouldn't be created 'along the way' they should be created now, otherwise people will go.

"Whoops, i'm about to die. Luckily the udderbird is here, oh its injured. Did you know the udderbird heals you and makes your really strong!"

Also, this way the only animals that are created will be good ones.

This should be locked :L

Yes the setting should be created now I agree, but are you saying once this starts up no new creatures can be made?

Along the way just means as the world grows with ideas and rps.

No creatures should be made.
Just with the same system as we have here, voting on everything, and we should do most things now.

So someone who wants to play in PW is not allowed to create an original creature character? I don't agree with that idea and believe we all can come up with something with a little more breathing room.

That will turn people away and PW will most likely fail. Things along those lines limit imagination.

My original creature character is a sparkly vampire.
It doesn't limit imagination. We should really try and get anyone that wants to play PW here right now! its there problem if there ignoring it.
Mahz will post a global announcment soon.

You still have not answered my question. If you say only these races/creatures are available it limits whatever is not on said list, thus a limitation.

The less people creating it the better (too many cooks in the kitchen...)

Why not make the Bestiary a thread people can post their original races in?

Therefore we shouldn't allow origional creations, in a persistent world if we're hearing
"Oh lets do it, it won't effect anyone"
then we are doing it wrong.

Origional creations are put here and can be added in the same way as we do suggestions.
You do it and then do a poll on it.

Hex, you're out voted. Me, Jelly, and that other person don't like the idea...and I'm not sure if Grayecastle is voting for or against you.

This is a big problem here; people not agreeing which is natural. But we have to compromise.

Maybe new creatures can be added but so player doesn't pull a stunt like in Hex's example, your creature has to be on the posted list for 24hours (or insert any time limit) before you throw it in an actual post. Will that work? Random idea I just thought of.

Well that could work (:

Seriously? This is an argument? For goodness sake, make all animals that already exist in the RL availble, this makes a diverse group that anyone can relate to and understand.

For extra animals (Dragons, Centuars, other mythological or fantasy creatures) just throw them in to.

No one cares if there is really room on the world or if these animals are able to coexsist. Really, they don't.

For Special animals that are made up on the spot, just simply make the rule that they can't be combat related such as with the "udderbird". However, original animals that have already been stated to be present can play a factor in combat.

Ex. My private estate has heards of winged deer that graze and sleep on the X amount of acres I own and potenial robbers may be attacked by Bucks if they stray too close to the heard.

In that statement anyone who cares to tresspass on said property has been forwarned of the deer, even if their character doesn't know, they know so you can't say its cheating if while fighting said tresspasser I lure them near the heard and the deer go ape S*** on them.

And seriously,"Latin name" ? Me no esbla Latin! I wouldn't even know where to start nor would many other people.

This sounds much easier than the time thing. I agree totally. Making a list of the made up animals would be a good reference. List them as a help...not deny them of course.
