In the persistent world that we create what subforums will we need?

I suggest these

Roleplaying (where all the roleplaying takes place)
Lore (to list down the world we created)
Character Sheets (post your CS's here to be voted yes or no and then allowed)
Discussion & suggestions (Discuss PW, may be the forum and the rest of the things are subforums?)

What else do we need?

I don't think everyones Character Sheets need to be voted yes or no on; that's too much effort and people aren't going to run with that concept. I think people should just be able to post their character sheets and join with out someone having to say yes or no. If we find someone we don't like we'll just tell them via PM-- but it makes it way easier for people to join knowing they don't have to be accepted right off the bat. No obligations.

Also, I think everyone who joins PW should only be permitted ONE thread in the Character Sheets sub-forum.

"Bunnay's Characters"

And then they can keep posting their characters in that same thread whenever they make a new one. That way it won't be so cluttered.

I agree with Bunnay on this. When discussing this prior, one of the things heavily agreed upon was that this new persistent world would be free flowing. People can pull in new characters and jump out as they please leaving them with no obligation to the Persistent World as a whole. I think with that pressure gone, your going to attract more people, and if they get bored with one thing, they can move somewhere else with a different character without the worry of if their character will be accepted or not.

Yeah, people are way more likely to appreciate this if they don't have any strings attached or obligations to stay with their character.

I also agree, this acceptence of characters was pretty ridiculous in the last PW.
I wanted a cyberkinetic arm and then there was this huge confusion to whether it was allowed.
I read the lore and it was allowed but the mods had something against it.

And yeh, that will make things easier to find.

How about a moderator controlled character sheet subforum. Characters are submitted to a moderator and only they post them to the sub forum. The purpose of this would be to keep track of character growth. example after characterA completes a few moderator quests in a particular realm, his skills at controlling heat have developed into a new ability to say... rain fire balls. Or maybe as a rp progresses character B has become a king of blabhblahblah in whatever realm, so his sheet is edited by a mod.

Just an idea.

We wanna keep character making as free reign as possible with little to no obligations, Jellyfish. I see what you mean about editing to update their sheets but that can be the creators responsibility.

I would still suggest it as an option for those interested in character growth. An incentive (and maybe something to brag about in their siggy) for achievement and participation. Regular CS subform. Special CS sub forum run by a mod specifically for those interested in questing. And mod created just for honesty's sake. (or hero junior will go from novice to the Big Cheese overnight ^_^) There are no obligations at all.

My whole reasoning is to generate and maintain interest.
